The business lawyer performs many and varied activities. He provides legal advice to companies, interpreting laws, regulations, and treaties to guide the company in the proper conduct of business activities. He deals with the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts, working closely with company representatives to clearly define the terms and conditions of business transactions and protect the company's interests. In the field of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), this professional plays a key role, guiding the company through processes that include negotiations, legal due diligence, contract drafting, and coordination with other consultants. He also handles corporate and labor law matters, advising on issues related to the formation, administration, dissolution of companies, and labor relations. Finally, he represents and defends the company in litigation, handling civil litigation, arbitrations, mediations, and negotiating settlements.
Atividades realizadas
As atividades incluem a elaboração de contratos, o desenvolvimento e a implementação de políticas corporativas, o tratamento de litígios e ações judiciais, a assessoria em fusões ou aquisições de outras empresas, a avaliação e a mitigação de riscos legais e a negociação com partes interessadas internas e externas. Além disso, o advogado corporativo deve ter excelentes habilidades de comunicação e negociação, já que frequentemente precisa negociar com outras empresas, parceiros comerciais e autoridades regulatórias.
